SUMMARY:Habitat for Humanity Aurora ReStore!
DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity ReStore\, Sat. Feb. 3rd\, 10AM-2PM\, 5-6 Volunteers are needed. We will be helping at the Aurora ReStore near Mississippi & I225. We’ve helped many times previously at several ReStores but this will be the first time assisting this one.  We normally are helping to stock donations onto the shelves\, straighten up or rearrange some of the areas\, and sometimes help with accepting incoming donations & outgoing purchases. There is free parking and a lunch break.  Customers shop at the ReStore for new and gently used appliances\, furniture\, home remodeling supplies\, pictures\, and more at huge discounts. All profits support Habitat for Humanity’s home ownership program for low-income families.  Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and sells homes to hard-working people in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is part of a global\, nonprofit housing organization that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes\, communities and hope.

SUMMARY:Serving Dinner at The Crossing transitional shelter!
DESCRIPTION:Serving Dinner at The Crossing transitional shelter\, Thurs. Feb. 15th\, 5PM-7PM\, 5 volunteers are needed. Many of our volunteers request this event because they enjoy it and feel that it is such a worthwhile organization.  The Crossing is a transitional facility between the homeless shelter and getting back into a home.  The residents are working and saving up for a place to live.  It is drug & alcohol free.  Men\, women & children reside there.  It provides a great service as people work to get back on their feet. Our volunteers will help serve in the buffet line and may help with some of the meal bags for those who come back from work after dinner time.  After we serve dinner we will have an opportunity to eat as a group and also enjoy the meal before we leave at 7PM.  We will be behind the counter & plexi-glass when serving food and there are sinks for handwashing and sanitizer.

SUMMARY:Kaleidoscope Gala benefiting Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation!
DESCRIPTION:Kaleidoscope Gala benefiting Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation\, Sat. Feb. 24th\, 4:00-7:00PM\, 6-8 volunteers are needed. (This event is on Waiting List status.  If you register you will receive the automated response but will only be contacted if we have a volunteer cancellation.)  We will be helping them as greeters\, with registration\, entering them into Handbids\, & selling chances for diamonds.  The VIP event begins at 4PM\, the main registration starts at 5PM\, the program starts at at 6PM & the after-party starts at 7PM.  They do provide food for volunteers. This is a black-tie preferred event so volunteers should be dressed well.   We will be done when they get everything ready for the after-party.  The event will be at a Downtown hotel.  The Foundation improves the quality of life for families\, sick children\, & infants by providing support when & how they need it most to over 10\,000 pediatric patients & their families annually!
