DESCRIPTION:Habitat for Humanity ReStore\, Sat. Nov. 4th\, 10AM-2PM\, 5 Volunteers are needed. (This event is now on Waiting List status.  If you sign up you will receive the automated response but will only be contacted with details if we have a volunteer cancellation.)We will be helping at the Littleton ReStore on Quincy. We’ve helped them many times previously.  We normally are helping to stock donations onto the shelves\, straighten up or rearrange some of the areas\, and sometimes help with accepting incoming donations & outgoing purchases. There is free parking and a lunch break.  Customers shop at the ReStore for new and gently used appliances\, furniture\, home remodeling supplies\, pictures\, and more at huge discounts. All profits support Habitat for Humanity’s home ownership program for low-income families.  Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver builds and sells homes to hard-working people in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is part of a global\, nonprofit housing organization that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes\, communities and hope.

SUMMARY:Serving Dinner at the Denver Rescue Mission!
DESCRIPTION:Serving Dinner at the Denver Rescue Mission\, Thurs. Nov. 9th\, 4:30-6:30PM\, 5 Volunteers are needed. (This event is now on Waiting List status.  If you sign up you will get the automated response but will only be emailed the details if we get a volunteer cancellation.) We will be serving dinner to the homeless in their Downtown facility. They do have two free parking areas for the volunteers.  For some of the guests\, the meals they serve at the Mission are the only source of nutrition they receive.  They say that “with each healthy meal comes strength to face the new challenges of each day.”  They serve over 600\,000 meals to the hungry each year.  We have helped them several times before.  The volunteers truly find this to be a worthwhile cause & enjoy the experience!

SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Food Distribution for Jeffco Action Center!
DESCRIPTION:Thanksgiving Food Distribution for the Jeffco Action Center\, Saturday\, November 18th\, 10:45AM-2PM\, 8 volunteers are needed (This event is now on Waiting List status. If you sign up you will receive the automated response but will only be contacted with the details if we have a volunteer cancellation).  We will be helping the low-income families in Jefferson County so that they are able to have a Thanksgiving Dinner for their family.  The event is in Lakewood on the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.  Previously when we’ve helped them they have assisted over 5\,000 families!  We will help direct the car lines & will hand out boxes that contain the fixings for them to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for their household.  Usually\, the box also contains a coupon to pick up a free turkey or ham at a local store.  It is such a good feeling to help the families that would not otherwise be able to have a Thanksgiving dinner at their homes.  They are so very grateful for the assistance!  Before you have your Thanksgiving\, please help those who are hoping to have one!
