DESCRIPTION:Denver Chalk Art Festival\, Sat. June 10th\, 5-9PM\, 6 Volunteers are needed. We will be helping at their VIP party in positions such as Ambassadors overseeing guest check in\, assisting with some of the set up/clean up\, Floaters-pitching in where they have needs & perhaps at the Artist & Volunteer Headquarter-checking in participating artists and volunteers.  The event is a couple blocks South of Civic Center Park in Denver.  It is sponsored by the CherryArts non profit whose mission is to provide art access to art experiences & support arts education in Colorado.  It’s a beautiful event with talented chalk artists!!

DESCRIPTION:Fundraising Beverage Booth at PrideFest-1st Shift\, Sat.\, June 24\, 10AM-3PM\, WE STILL NEED 3 VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS SHIFT! Volunteers are needed to run an alcohol booth. The event is in Civic Center Park.  In addition to helping the non-profit who gets the majority of the funds we will get paid money towards our fantastic organization so we can continue to operate.  SVGD needs funds annually in order to pay our insurance\, web hosting\, sponsor our MeetUp group for more volunteers\, etc.  We provide volunteers to approx. 60 non-profit events annually but do need to do a couple for us in order to continue providing this great service to the Metro Denver community.  We will be in charge of an alcohol booth\, which we’ve done for several years\, at this fun event with a percentage of the profits going to our organization as long as we provide the number of volunteers they need for the shift!  Since this is a big undertaking & a fundraiser\, non-SVGD members can also register.  We encourage our members to invite friends\, work associates\, and other non-profit associates to participate\, especially since we need so many volunteers for the 4 shifts.  If we don’t provide the number of volunteers to which we commit we don’t get paid!  When you sign up please let us know if you have other persons who could be volunteers and we will contact them or you can give us their info.  We always have a fantastic time!  It’s a colorful event with lots going on! We’re in a three sided booth with a counter and window that looks out at the colorful action.  It’s like watching TV!  What fun!!  PrideFest is the largest annual fundraiser annually for the LGBTQ Community Center of Colorado (The Center)\, a non-profit that serves more than 47\,000 people annually.  Recognized as one of the top ten pride events in the country\, Denver’s PrideFest is a celebration of community\, heritage\, family and culture. They are expecting around 500\,000 people from Colorado and surrounding areas come out to enjoy the parade\, rally\, music\, entertainment\, food and much more. The Center plays a pivotal role to reduce harassment & discrimination and provides programs & resources needed for the LGBTQ community to live happy\, healthy\, & productive lives.  Please join us as we accomplish two objectives- supporting SVGD financially and supporting this non profit!
