We will be running a non-alcohol/alcohol booth called the Artivity Avenue Bar.  We won’t be mixing any alcoholic drinks but will sell sodas\, cans of beers\, pour pre-mixed margaritas\, etc.  This is the 30th year for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.  To ensure the safest possible environment they are moving it to the Creekside area of the Cherry Creek Mall where there is not normally pedestrian traffic and will have timed entry tickets to only allow a certain number of people in at a time. We will be in a booth area wearing masks so will be socially distanced.  There will be free parking!  CherryArts non-profit’s mission is to provide access to art experiences and support arts education in Colorado.  There will be 220 national & internationally renowned artists & emerging artists\, 16 performing artists\, plus an art education experience.  We normally do 2 fundraising events per year but because of COVID haven’t been able to do any since Spring\, 2019!  We are so happy to be able to do this event so we can pay our insurance\, web hosting\, etc. & keep our SVGD non profit operational so we can support dozens of Denver Metro non profits annually. I hope you will be able to help at one of the shifts so we can support this great organization safely plus support our SVGD organization!

SUMMARY:"Beautiful Junk Sale" & Block Party benefiting Jeffco Action Center!
DESCRIPTION:“Beautiful Junk Sale” & Block Party benefiting JeffCo Action Center\, Sat. Sept. 18th 8AM-Noon\, 6 Volunteers are needed. (This event is now on Waiting List status. If you sign up you will receive 2 automated registration responses but will only be contacted if we have a volunteer cancellation).  We will be helping with the sales portion where we will help stock and stage the merchandise as well as assist buyers. We might also help with some Traffic Control. This event is back by request from previous volunteers who had such a great time.  This enormous 2-day garage sale is the largest bargain shopping extravaganza in Jefferson County.  It is held in Lakewood and offers jewelry\, collectibles\, vintage odds & ends\, a vast array of household items\, sporting goods\, holiday decor\, and much more.  Our volunteers will be helping during the actual sale which continues all day so they will have the opportunity to shop after their shift if they wish.  Plus\, this year they are having a Block Party at the location from 11AM-3PM so we can stay if we wish to enjoy the food trucks\, DJ\, free carnival games etc.  It should be a fun day!  This event normally brings in more than $40\,000 to support families in need through the Action Center’s services.
