SUMMARY:Serving Dinner at The Delores Project Safehouse!
DESCRIPTION:Serving Dinner at The Delores Project Safehouse\, Mon. Aug. 17th\, 5:30-8 PM\, 5 Volunteers are needed. This is a fantastic facility that assists the homeless who have been in challenging relationship situations!  We can help bring some joy there while serving dinner & talking to residents as they come through the dinner line!  The food is provided\, we just need to heat it up and serve it to the residents as they come through the line.  In addition to serving the food we will eat dinner towards the end of our shift prior to packing up the food items for storage.  So many of our volunteers request this event!  We have assisted this safe shelter several times through several years and they have asked us back as we have fantastic groups of volunteers. The shelter is in West Denver. This is a confidential location that is given out to the volunteers after registering due to the nature of the facility.  Both male & female volunteers are welcome to assist at this event.

DESCRIPTION:Colorado Dragon Boat Festival Shift 1- Sat. Aug. 29th 12-3PM. 6 volunteers are needed.  We will be Festival Ambassadors. The Ambassadors represent the Festival at the info booths\, volunteer entrances\, & greet festival attendees as they are arriving!  They ask that we be upbeat\, outgoing\, personable (& organized).  We may do some walking throughout the event & will be available to promptly respond to questions from Festival goers as they arrive.  This will be a very fun experience!  After the shift is over you can stay and enjoy the event i.e.  boat races\, music\, culture & culinary experiences etc. The Saturday Festival is from 10AM-7PM.  We’ve assisted at this event for years and always have a great time!
