SUMMARY:Food Packaging for Food Relief Pantry!
DESCRIPTION:Food Packaging for Food Relief Pantry\, Sat. Nov. 14\, 9:30-11:30AM\,  6 volunteers are needed.  We will be assisting to pack food packages for families in need.  The event will be set up by 9:30AM so we can package the food at 9:30AM that will be handed out starting at 11:30AM. Volunteers will be served a small lunch at 11AM.  This event is located at the Denver Islamic Food Pantry near Monaco/Warren in Denver. The pantry provides essential support to those facing food insecurity.  It is open by appointment for everyone to take what they need\, when they need it. They distribute items such as grains\, canned goods\, fruits & vegetables\, and often other household staples like diapers and wipes. They also have delivery drivers to deliver the food packages for people who aren’t able to come to the location.  This is a great way to help families in our community have the food they need!

SUMMARY:Denver Feed-A-Family Thanksgiving Meal Boxes!
DESCRIPTION: Denver Feed-A-Family\, Sat. Nov. 21st\, 10AM-12:30PM\, 10 Volunteers are needed.  We will be helping to pack food into the Thanksgiving boxes for the low-income families.  We will be working as a team. I’m signing us up for the last shift so we’ll be able to see the families as they come to pick up their Food Boxes that will allow them to have a good Thanksgiving Dinner for their families. Sometimes also we help put the bags into the delivery cars for those families who aren’t able to pick up their food. We’ve done this event for the past 2 years and really enjoyed ourselves while helping the community!  This event is done in honor of Daddy Bruce Randolph who for years had a BBQ restaurant & gave food away for years so that thousands of people could have a good Thanksgiving.  The event is in the Central Denver area. This is a very worthwhile event that reflects their dedication to nourishing our city and embracing the diversity that makes it thrive.  Please sign up soon so I can get the names of our volunteers in our group to the organization.
