SUMMARY:Postal Carriers- Stamp Out Hunger event!
DESCRIPTION:Postal Carriers-Stamp Out Hunger\, Sat. May 9\, 3:30-8:00PM\, 6 volunteers needed (This event is now on Waiting List status.  If you sign up you will receive the automated response but will only be contacted with the details if we get a volunteer cancellation).The National Assn. of Letter Carriers is sponsoring an event throughout our Metro area where they will be picking up food donations along their carrier routes & will be bringing it back to their post offices.  We will be inside the docks at a Post Office (near Pecos/76th) to help unload and sort the food so trucks can take it back to the Action Center where it will be distributed to low-income families.   It is a very worthwhile event that will make quite a difference for low-income families!  After the event we are inviting the volunteers to have a social experience at a BBQ restaurant that is in the adjoining parking lot.  We helped at this event the  last three years and enjoyed both the event & the social!
