SUMMARY:Colorado Dragon Boat Festival!
DESCRIPTION:Colorado Dragon Boat Festival\, Sun. July 28th\, 2-4PM\, 6 Volunteers are needed. (This event is now on Waiting List status.  If you sign up you will receive the automated responses but will only be contacted with the details if we have a volunteer cancellation). We will be helping by the docks in the  Racing area so will get to see the races!  They are expecting 170\,000 people attend this 2-day event which is the largest of its kind in the nation celebrating the traditional Chinese holiday- this year is The Year of the Wood Dragon Celebration & promoting contemporary cultural integration between the diverse Asian Pacific American (APA) communities.   It is held at Sloan’s Lake and has over 40 teams from across the world competing in the dragon boat race\, a performing arts stage\, an Asian market place\, a taste of Asian food court & more!!  The Festival is open at 10AM so you can come prior to our shift for free free to watch some of the performances\, tour the market area & eat some great food if you’d like. After our shift they will have the race awards and a band at the band stage.  We’ve helped them several times previously and always enjoyed the experience!
