DESCRIPTION:Lavished with Love Holiday Meal benefiting low-income families\, Sat. Dec. 16th\, 11:30AM-3PM\, 6 volunteers are needed. (This event has filled.  If you sign up you will only be contacted if we get a volunteer cancellation) This event is sponsored by the Iron Sharp Community Foundation.  The event will be held at an Aurora elementary school. There are three shifts during the day.  We are on the second shift. The mission is to support students & families experiencing challenges such as homelessness\, temporary living situations\, and living in poverty.  There will be a cozy\, family-style meal and also several provided resources such as brand-new winter coats\, barber services\, youth violence prevention resources\, health & safety resources\, literacy support\, holiday photos\, a delightful hot cocoa bar\, creative cookie decorating crafts and much more.  The goal of the event is to touch the lives of over 1\,000 students and families!  This should be a very fulfilling Holiday event to help those with needs\, especially during the Holiday Season!
